Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Photobooth Online website, including its camera, local image upload, editing, download, and device-sharing features. It does not cover a third-party website, app, operating-system service, or social platform that you choose to use after leaving our service.
Photobooth Online does not currently require an account, subscription, or payment details. If a future feature changes the information we process, we will update this policy before or when that feature becomes available.
Information we process
Camera and photo content
Your browser asks for camera permission only after you choose to start the camera. The live camera stream, snapshots, locally uploaded images, edits, filters, frames, stickers, and rendered artwork are processed on your device. The application does not intentionally transmit that visual content to our servers.
Website request and security data
Like most websites, our hosting and network infrastructure may automatically process limited request data when it delivers a page or asset. This can include an IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, date and time, referring page, and error or security events. We use this data to deliver, protect, diagnose, and maintain the service—not to build an advertising profile.
Messages you send us
If you contact us by email, we receive the address, message, and any information you choose to include. Please do not attach private photos unless they are necessary for your request and you have permission to share them.
How local photo processing works
Photo frames and finished artwork are held in temporary browser memory while you use the booth. The current service does not save those images to cookies, localStorage, or sessionStorage, and it does not provide a cloud gallery. The temporary in-browser copies normally disappear when you refresh or close the page, and camera tracks are stopped when the camera experience ends.
A photo you download is saved wherever your browser or device places downloads. A photo you share is handed to the device share sheet only after you press the share control. From that point, the destination app's own privacy terms apply.
How we use information
We use the limited information described above to:
- deliver pages, fonts, images, and application code to your browser;
- provide the creative workflow you request on your device;
- detect abuse, protect the service, and investigate technical failures;
- respond to questions, privacy requests, or legal obligations; and
- improve reliability and compatibility without using your photos for training.
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on your instruction or consent for camera access and requested actions, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.
Cookies and tracking
The current version of Photobooth Online does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not include behavioral advertising trackers. Browser camera permission is a browser setting, not an advertising cookie. If we introduce optional analytics or another cookie-based feature, we will update this notice and provide choices where required.
Retention and security
Camera and photo content is not retained by our application servers because it is processed locally. Temporary object URLs used by the booth are released when they are replaced or when the experience closes. Infrastructure logs, if generated, are retained only as long as reasonably needed for delivery, security, debugging, legal compliance, and abuse prevention.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service. No website, device, or transmission method is perfectly secure, so you should protect your device, browser profile, downloaded files, and camera permissions.
Your choices and privacy rights
- Deny or revoke camera access in browser or device settings.
- Refresh or close the page to end the temporary photo session.
- Choose whether and where to download or share an image.
- Ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection rights.
- Opt out of a sale or targeted-advertising use—neither occurs today.
- Complain to your local data-protection authority where that right applies.
Because there is no account and we do not receive your booth photos, we usually cannot identify, retrieve, or delete a photo that exists only on your device. We can evaluate requests relating to contact messages or identifiable server records. To protect privacy, we may need to verify a request before acting on it.
Children's privacy
Photobooth Online is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 should not use the service without a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly request personal information from a child under 13 or use children's information for advertising.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child sent personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate. A parent should also review the device's downloads and browser camera permissions.
International visitors
Website infrastructure may operate in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use lawful transfer mechanisms and safeguards for personal information processed across borders. Mandatory privacy and consumer rights in your location continue to apply.
Changes and contact
We may revise this policy to reflect product, legal, or security changes. We will post the new date on this page and provide a more prominent notice when a change materially affects how personal information is handled.
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to [email protected]. Please describe the request and the country or region that applies to you.
